Phone Number: Used for OTP-based authentication. We do not share your number with third parties without consent.
Name & Profile Info: Provided by you during registration to personalise your experience.
Location Data: Used to show nearby cars and service centres. Location is only accessed with your explicit permission.
Device Info & Push Tokens: Used to send you relevant push notifications (e.g., booking updates, price alerts).
Usage Data: Anonymised analytics (screens viewed, actions taken) to improve app performance.
Photos: If you sell a car or register as a dealer, you may upload photos stored securely in Firebase Storage.

3. How We Use Your Information

To authenticate your identity via OTP
To display personalised car listings based on your location and preferences
To send booking confirmations and service updates
To connect buyers with sellers and dealers
To improve app features and fix bugs through anonymised analytics

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

Firebase (Google): Our backend platform for auth, database, storage and analytics.
Expo / EAS: For push notification delivery.
Dealers / Service Providers: When you initiate a booking or inquiry, relevant contact details are shared with the respective party.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing admin@carbot.in. We will action your request within 30 days.

6. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in Firebase with industry-standard security controls. Phone authentication uses Firebase's secure OTP system. We follow secure coding practices and regularly review our security posture.

7. Children's Privacy

CarBot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

You have the right to:

Withdraw consent for location or notification access at any time via device settings
